This is a district-wide accelerated Language Arts program for high-achieving students, both gifted and non-gifted in grades 3-5. Students are provided with a rich, exciting, technologically advanced educational environment designed to give them activity-driven, experienced-based learning opportunities. In the C.L.A.S.S. technology lab, each student has a Pentium computer and access to numerous multimedia production programs and equipment.

In addition to offering a rigorous educational experience by using a variety of research-based strategies to meet the individual needs for all students, Center Elementary offers extracurricular activities, which address various student interests. A few of these programs include Student Council, 4-H, Sports, Drama and Art clubs, and a Performance Based Learning Team, PBL, which specializes in developing websites and creating movies. Also, students have the opportunity to become involved in the National Elementary Honor Society and numerous academic competitions.
Parental involvement is encouraged throughout the school year and positively influences the relationships between all school and community stakeholders. Through these relationships, it is possible for our students to reach their highest potential to become self-motivated, life-long learners, and achieve future success in the globally competitive world.
